Ealing Fairtrade Group

Fairtrade pineapple - producer and consumer
We are an enthusiastic group of volunteers who have achieved the five goals specified by the Fairtrade Foundation to achieve Fairtrade borough status for Ealing. The group includes representatives from local businesses, schools, community and faith groups and Ealing residents.

Join us to help promote Fairtrade in Ealing and gain volunteering experience along the way – we are a friendly group and always welcome new members. We meet regularly, please contact us for dates and times.

You can also help by joining the much larger network of supporters who promote Fairtrade in their workplaces, schools or places of worship, or support the campaign by buying Fairtrade goods and asking shops and cafes to stock them.

On Saturday 6th March we had our annual Fairtrade Fair in the Ealing Broadway Centre, from 10.30am - 5.30pm. The Fair was held at the end of Fairtrade Fortnight, which takes place the last week of February and first week of March every year and is organised by the Fairtrade Foundation to promote fairtrade products. We had stalls selling Fairtrade and fairly traded clothes, jewellery, accessories, homewares, crafts, food and drink from Africa, Asia and Latin America. We also had a Fairtrade raffle with prizes kindly donated by Tesco, Starbucks and M&S, a speech by the Mayor of Ealing and two Fairtrade themed poems read by Ellen Wilkinson Girls School pupils.

See photos from the Fair in the slideshow below.
